A Strong City man was killed in an accident south of Cottonwood Falls late Wednesday night.
Chase County Sheriff Richard Dorneker tells KVOE News 19-year-old Hunter Scott was northbound on Kansas Highway 177 when his car left the road shortly after 11:20 pm. Scott's car traveled several hundred feet, at least partially jumped a creek and flipped at least once. The accident happened about two miles south of Cottonwood Falls.
Chase County EMS, Chase County deputies, Lyon County Rescue and LifeTeam Midwest all responded, but Scott was dead at the scene.
Dorneker says the investigation into the accident continues at this time.
