USD 253 board mulling enrollment trends, concussion test

Emporia School Board members may have a short meeting Wednesday night.

Board members will discuss the enrollment numbers released recently, which indicated the district enrollment shrinking around 80 students to 4,636. Not only will board members talk about the numbers, but they will discuss the demographics behind the numbers and possible trends for future years.

During the consent agenda, where several items can be passed all at once, board members will consider a $500 donation from the Clint Bowyer 79 Fund to fund licensing for a computerized concussion test for Emporia High athletes.

The meeting starts at 7 pm at Mary Herbert.
