Four students on the Emporia High debate team have been named All-Americans by the National Forensics League.
Jessica Parks, Jonathon Ralston, Andy Renteria and Christian Smith were honored for both their debate prowess and academic successes this past year. Students have to attain a grade point average of 3.7 or above. They also must have either an ACT score of at least 27 or an SAT score above 2,000.
Parks, Ralston and Renteria have already announced their college plans. Parks is attending Emporia State for political science, while Ralston is going to Kansas for engineering and Renteria is headed to Emporia State for pre-engineering.
