Planning continues for Keep It a Safe Summer

Keep It a Safe Summer is less than a month away, and lead organizer Rhonda Gordon says things are coming together nicely.

Gordon tells KVOE News over 30 vendor booths are already claimed, and there will be food and at least one new activity on hand.

The event is May 22 at the Lyon County Fairgrounds.

Keep It A Safe Summer, or KISS, is reviving after cuts in grant funding forced Emporians for Drug Awareness for years, the lead agency responsible for the event, to close in 2012.

For more information, call Gordon at 341-3220.
