State lawmakers are returning to work in a week to finish off the 2014 legislative session.
The veto session begins April 30.
The overall budget is the main piece of business to attend to after several major pieces -- education funding and the judicial budget -- were signed by Gov. Sam Brownback over the past week while lawmakers were in recess from their regular session.
Lawmakers may revisit certain parts of the budget, including the judicial budget and education-related adjustments to ending balances, before finishing their work.
Local lawmakers will offer their thoughts on what has already happened and what's to come on KVOE and KVOE.com. Rep. Don Hill joins the KVOE Morning Show at 8:30 am Wednesday, with Rep. Peggy Mast at 8:30 am Thursday and Sen. Jeff Longbine at 8:30 am Tuesday.
