CableONE offers credits to customers with Turner contract situation not resolved

The Turner family of networks remains dark for CableONE subscribers, at least for now.

On KVOE's Morning Show on Thursday, CableONE General Manager Joe Michaels said Turner wants a nearly 50-percent increase in its fees from CableONE, even though ratings had declined. Those increases would have to be passed on to subscribers.

While those channels off the air -- at least for now -- CableONE is taking a couple steps with customer satisfaction in mind. Included on the list: an automatic credit.

CableONE is also polling its customers on what channels they would like to see.

Michaels says it's up to legal departments to hash out the differences, and the ultimate goal is to reach an agreement with Turner.

The contract deadline passed at midnight Tuesday. During an 11-hour extension, where CableONE felt it had an agreement to air some of the Turner channels, Turner pulled the plug on all its channels instead.
