The Emporia City Commission held a quick meeting on Wednesday afternoon, the longest point of which was a 45-minute executive session.
During the meeting, commissioners approved a resolution reappointing Ted Hollembeak as Municipal Court Judge for another four-year term. The resolution passed 4-0.
The commission also signed proclamations making October Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and recognizing October 16 as National Disability Mentoring Day in Emporia, and October 6-12 as National Fire Prevention Week.
After an extremely brief city manager report, the commission broke for a 45-minute executive session regarding non-elected personnel. No action from that session was taken.
