Lyon County commissioners have an action session Thursday.
Commissioners will decide whether to approve a nearly $44,000 quote from Alfred Benesch & Company to conduct the county's fracture-critical bridge inspections. Lyon County has nearly 400 bridges and culverts, with 22 bridges listed as fracture-critical -- meaning if one major part of the bridge gives way, the entire bridge could collapse.
Commissioners will also hear a presentation from the Regional Development Association and Emporia Enterprises, and they currently have six executive sessions planned.
The meeting starts at 8 am at the County Courthouse. There is no study meeting planned this week.
