Brammell bound over for alleged threats

A woman accused of threatening two Lyon County judges has been bound over for trial on most of the counts against her.

Barbara Brammell originally faced seven counts, four of criminal threat and three of interference with the judicial process, before a preliminary hearing Wednesday changed the official complaint. Brammell now faces three counts of threats and two alternate counts of interference.

Brammell allegedly wrote threatening letters to Lyon County District Judge Lee Fowler after he ruled against her in a separate case. She is accused as well of writing a threatening letter to Lyon County Administrative Judge Merlin Wheeler and implying threats to local attorneys Tom Krueger and Paul Dean.

No trial date has been set, but a status and motons hearing has been set for Dec. 10.
