The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is conducting its ninth annual spring training session for law enforcement departments across the state.
Sheriff Jeff Cope says this is an excellent way to pass along information on vital law enforcement topics. It's also a good way to maintain or foster partnerships with other agencies.
Training began Tuesday at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building and continues through Thursday. Topics included active shooter situations, evidence handling, search and seizure guidelines, child abductions teen violence and student threat assessments.
Close to 200 law enforcement officers from over 70 different departments will be represented by Thursday.
