Baxter pan-fried taco feed set for Wednesday

The John Baxter Student Athletic Trainer scholarship fund and Emporia State's Student Athletic Training Club are benefiting from a special meal Wednesday.

The Didde Catholic Campus Center is hosting a homemade pan-fried taco feed from 11 am to 7 pm. On a recent Newsmaker segment, Athletic Training Club Director Matt Howe said funds will help club members a chance to expand their education outside the normal classroom setting.

Six students are planning to attend the national meeting this summer in Indianapolis.

Cost is $20 for a dozen tacos for $2 apiece. Carryout and dine-in options are available, and you can call Howe at 757-6920 in advance or Didde at 343-6765 the day of the feed. The ESU Athletic Trainer Club, Karate Club and Emporia Brown Express Club are all partnering on the event.
