Lyon County commissioners could approve an interlocal agreement to consolidate the county's dispatch services with Emporia's during their action meeting Thursday.
The idea was broached last summer because of equipment limitations. City, county and fire departments have supported the venture, saying the new department should improve response times for everybody involved.
In other business, commissioners will consider several purchase requests from the Road and Bridge Department. They will also receive the department's year-to-date expense comparison between this year and last and look over the crushed rock distribution report for the past five years.
The meeting starts at 8 am in the County Courthouse.
