It may be hard to believe, but the Emporia Symphony Orchestra is into its fifth year of making music -- and it's celebrating with a special anniversary concert Tuesday night.
Conductor Dr. Jeremy Starr says the theme, "A Noble Journey," is exactly what the Symphony Orchestra is all about.
Among the highlights will be the world debut of an original concerto written by music professor Dr. Andrew Houchins for fellow music professor Dr. Nathan Gay, a world-renowned euphonium player.
Tickets are $5 and $4 for students and seniors. Kids under age 12 get in free. The concert begins at 7:30 pm at Albert Taylor Hall.
