Pflaum lecture with Kansas actor set for Tuesday

Emporia State University is bringing actor Kip Niven back to town for the annual George R. R. Pflaum Lecture on Tuesday. This event was rescheduled for Tuesday, after being postponed due to winter storms last month.

An alum of the University of Kansas, Niven will present his insights on whether Kansas actors and actresses can have successful careers in the field -- and Niven has proven that's possible. Niven has appeared in movies like "Magnum Force," "Earthquake" and "Midway." He also had appearances on TV shows from "The Waltons" to "Law and Order" and "Walker, Texas Ranger."

Niven's lecture will be at 7:30 pm Tuesday at the Frederickson Theater inside Roosevelt Hall. It's free and open to the public. The lecture series honors Pflaum, who was a member of Emporia State's faculty for over 40 years.
