Health and safety was the topic of Monday's STREAM Day at Emporia High.
Booths and presentations were put on by various local organizations, from healthcare providers to law enforcement to hunter's education and yoga instruction.
English Teacher Emily Moore scheduled the day's events. She said it was an "undertaking" to organize everything, but everyone came together to participate.
Moore said the goal was to focus on all aspects of health and safety: physical, mental, emotional and public. Senior Obed Barkus said students might want to listen up.
The Emporia School District was awarded a STREAM grant this past year, which allows for six extra school days dedicated to creating activities focused on student improvement.
