Shed/Playhouse Project revs up

Fundraising continues through the seventh annual Playhouse Project.

This year, the project could be considered the first annual Shed Project after construction of a roughly $3,000 garden shed currently on display at Flint Hills Technical College. Regardless, proceeds benefit scholarships at Emporia State University and the tech college.

On the KVOE Morning Show on Tuesday, organizer Rex Williams said this will help future generations of students at both locations.

A suggested donation of $5 is needed for the chance to win either the shed or a Traeger grill courtesy of Waters True Value. Goal is $30,000.

The project ends Feb. 28. Tickets are now available at Williams Automotive, Mark II, Waters True Value, ESU and Flint Hills Technical College. Students from both ESU and the tech college will be out selling tickets as well.
