Emporia man has hearing on alleged meth production

One man accused of being involved in methamphetamine production locally has a preliminary hearing Wednesday afternoon.

Wesley Gohring was one of three people charged following a warrant search and alleged drug bust in mid-August. Gohring has a hearing today on 11 counts ranging from meth distribution to possessing ephedrine with intent for unlawful use.

Gohring now has a second hearing Oct. 7 for a separate case involving nearly 10 more counts including six of meth manufacturing.

Fellow defendants Michelle Hernandez-Correa and Dave Wasylk are both set for preliminary hearings Oct. 7. Hernandez-Correa faces 11 counts ranging from meth distribution to having ephedrine with intent for unawful use. Wasylk, Hartford's head football coach from 2007 to 2009 and a one-time owner of The Dugout at 12th and Exchange, faces 10 counts of aiding and abetting.
