Gov. Sam Brownback will offer his status report on Kansas policy and his vision for the future Wednesday night.
The annual State of the State Address will take place at 6:30 pm. This is where the governor outlines his priorities for the upcoming session, also occasionally offering up some details on what he would like to see passed.
With Republicans firmly in control in both the House and Senate, Democrats will also offer their response shortly after the governor's speech.
The list of issues to tackle this session is significant. Education funding, both for K-12 and the governor's new all-day kindergarten initiative, tax policy, Medicaid reform and the future of the death penalty figure to see a lot of discussion through the session.
KVOE will carry the State of the State and the Democrats' response starting at 6:30 pm.
