Less than 200 slots remain for the Dirty Kanza's longest races.
Registration opened Saturday, and organizer Lelan Dains says there was a rush of online activity.
Dains says about 650 people registered for the 200-mile race and about 350 for the "half-pint" 100-mile race, both of which will be held May 31. Registration for those two races is set to continue officially until May 3, but Dains believes the field will fill out for both races well before that date.
Registration is handled online at www.bikereg.com. Registration for the DK Lite 20- and 50-mile races will start May 30.
