Flint Hills Technical College is rated as the fourth best two-year technical school or community college according to Bankrate.com.

"It legitimizes and ratifies how important Flint Hills Technical College is to this community," President Dr. Dean Hollenbeck said.

Bankrate credited the college for its hands-on education, with 70 percent of learning time spent in labs or training, as well as partnerships with businesses and other universities like Emporia State and Kansas State.

"We have excellent staff, we have excellent administrators who are putting these programs together," Hollenbeck said. "All our programs are directly tied to business and industry."
