Kotich has been a State Attorney for 34 years, including stints as the Chief Attorney for the Department of Human Resourses, Department of Labor, Department of Administration and a Judge Advocate for the United States Marine Corp. He says he hopes to make a decision in the next 10 to 12 days.

The Lyon County Democrats will hold their next meeting on February 8.

On a side note from the meeting, Lyon County Democrat Chair Susan Fowler says Robert Reich's "Inequality for All" will be shown at the Flint Hills 8 Theatre on Thursday, January 23 at 7:30pm if a minimum number of advance tickets are sold. Reich, the Secretary of Labor under President Bill Clinton, tells viewers how we got where we are, and how the damages can be reversed.

The Lyon County Democrats are sponsoring the movie because of their concern about the income inequality problem in the United States. Seventy-two more tickets need to be sold by January 16 to make the event happen. Tickets must be purchased online at www.tugg.com/events/6999. The link is also available at the Lyon County Democrats website, www.lycoksdemocrats.org.  Tickets are $12.
