Wolford's weight loss to receive national attention next week

In 2011, Denise Wolford made a promise to do what she could to help care for a grandchild. That promise has led her to lose over 200 pounds.

Wolford joined KVOE's 7:05 am newscast Friday, saying her faith helped to jumpstart her after a difficult period for her entire family.

Wolford set up a diet through Weight Watchers and also worked with Barb Rourk from the Emporia Recreation Commission to start an exercise program.

Wolford will fly out this weekend to New York City. She will be on NBC's Today Show some time after 9 am.
