NRH celebrates New Year's Day baby

Newman Regional Health is celebrating the birth of 2014 with a New Year's Day baby.

Eden Silver was born at 11:31 am Wednesday to Tori Silver of Emporia.

She tells KVOE News the pregnancy was "pretty normal," aside from some swelling. Dr. David Kemp and Dr. Todd Detwiler delivered little Eden.

Eden was 7 pounds, 14.5 ounces and 20 inches long at birth.

Tori Silver was presented a gift basket with baby items donated by the hospital, Newman Regional Foundation and Newman Regional Auxiliary. Foundation Director Jodi Heermann says the group's basket contained several useful items.
