Lyon County commissioners handled several bids during their action meeting Thursday.
Commissioners approved approved a $121,000 bid from APAC-Kansas to provide cover material for the county's road sealing project later this year.
Commissioners also approved Kaw Valley Engineering's bid of $28,000 to "video capture" Lyon County roads. County Engineer Chip Woods says Kaw Valley staffers will drive every county road from both directions to document sign placement, road conditions and other information. It's the first time since 1988 the county has had such a project planned.
Commissioner Scott Briggs was also appointed to the Flint Hills Regional Economic Development board after commissioners formally approved joining the district last month.
