One person injured in rollover wreck near Miller

One person was injured in a rollover accident off of US Highway 56 Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened around 1:30pm. Lyon County Sheriff's Deputies, Fire/EMS and Miller First Responders responded to a report of a vehicle rolling, landing on its wheels in a ditch in the 1900 block of Road 340, or milepost 378 on US-56 near Miller.

When Fire/EMS arrived, 63-year old Steven Billbe of Auburn was standing up, walking and talking with Sheriff's deputies. Billbe was taken to Newman Regional Health with unknown injuries. Newman Regional does not disclose patient conditions to the media.

Billbe was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident. Apparently an item inside the vehicle caused a distraction, causing Billbe to leave the road and overturn.
