It's all a gamble. Especially with the Mega Millions jackpot drawing looming.
The jackpot currently stands at $586 million, but with longer odds could reach $1 billion. Yes, "B" for billion.
Becky Shinaberry is the Assistant Manager at Prairie Port Plaza. She says she sold 18 Mega Millions tickets before 11am, and that some folks have bought multiple tickets.
No ticket matched the six numbers needed to win Friday's $425 million prize. The total could easily increase in time for tomorrow night's drawing, according to lottery officials.
Shinaberry said she'll be buying one ticket -- just one. And, if she won the Mega Millions, she'd pay off some bills and continue to work, otherwise she said she'd "get bored out of her mind."
Your chances of winning this year's Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 259 million.
