Delivery requests up for Church of Christ holiday meal

In just a few hours, the Emporia Church of Christ will open its doors to the community for its annual Thanksgiving meal.

Preacher Neil Taylor says delivery requests are up significantly from last year. In fact, the church phones have been ringing almost off the hook.

Over 25 turkeys and eight hams will be prepared along with all the trimmings and desserts, meaning almost total participation from the church to make sure the meal goes off without a hitch.

Meals will be served at the church from 11 am to 2 pm. No donations are ever solicited. For information or to set up a delivery, call 342-3999.
