DELIVERY DRIVER
Position: Full-time hourly
position with benefits. This position is
responsible for safe driving of EVCO trucks, unloading product and delivering
into a customer’s business.
Hours: Monday - Friday, hours will vary. Home nightly. No weekends.
REQUIREMENTS:

Driver must be physically able to drive a Tractor/Trailer in a safe and
professional manner. Must be able to
safely drive in city and rural areas.
·
Driver is responsible for having a current CDL-A with clean driving
record and Medical Card.
·
Driver is responsible for following DOT regulations and company
policies.
·
Ability to read and write English, and comprehend verbal and written
instructions in English.
·
Good communication & customer service skills.
·
Detail oriented and well organized.
·
Ability to work/travel in all kinds of weather throughout the year.
·
Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. Driver will
travel several hundred miles per week, getting in and out of truck at each stop
and walking the distance to the customer location.
·
Ability to grasp items with both hands and lift up to 100 lbs.
GENERAL
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
·
Perform pre-trip inspection of truck and loaded groceries.
·
Maintain driver’s logbook and appropriate paperwork for delivered and
returned items.
·
Drive to each customer as indicated by daily orders. At each stop, unload groceries from truck by
hand and by using dolly and loading ramp as necessary.
·
Handle cash or checks as payment for orders. Complete appropriate
accounting paperwork.
·
Maintain issued equipment such as locks and two-wheelers.
